Why Home Staging is so important in today's market !!

Home Staging is equivalent to putting the makeup on vs the plastic surgery .

Although some homes may need major renovations and construction, home staging is the answer if trying to sell your home without dumping a ton of money into it. When you are trying to sell it may be worth a little neutral paint, removal of wallpaper, de cluttering and freshening up of linens and towels . Smells attribute as well to the home buying process. A smell will turn off any potential buyers

If you have a very eclectic or mis- mash of furniture or style it can get very confusing to a potential buyer. It is well worth the investment to put your belongings in storage or just some pieces and let the homestager do their magic. You will get more money in less time for your home. Time in real estate is your worst enemy. The longer your home sits on the market the lower the price becomes. It's a psychological game, the overpriced unstaged home sits longer and then buyers lose interest or wait for a price reduction. In the interim the home develops a “stigma’ People start to assume and make up scenarios in their heads; i.e. there must be something wrong with the house, it probably didn't pass the engineers inspection must have major structural issues and the list goes on….

In reality most potential buyers are looking online at the photos, if the photos are not appealing they won't bother making the appointment with their realtor to come and see the home.
